WARNING AND RECALL NOTICE

Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. in cooperation with the CPSC voluntarily conducted a recall of the 2010 Kawasaki KLX110C/D Off-Highway motorcycles.

 The following product safety recall was conducted voluntarily by Kawasaki in cooperation with the CPSC. Consumers should stop using the product immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Name of Product:

2010 Kawasaki KLX110C/D off-highway motorcycles

Units:

About 4,000.

Hazard:

On eligible units, water could enter the ignition switch housing during operation in wet conditions or washing and activate the electric starter.

Incidents/Injuries:

None reported.

Description:

The Kawasaki KLX110CAF and KLX110DAF are off-road motorcycles. They are designed for the beginner as well as the more advanced rider. They are available in green.

Sold at:

The KLX110CAF was sold at authorized Kawasaki dealers from August 20, 2009 to May 10, 2010. The KLX110DAF was sold at authorized Kawasaki dealers from August 6, 2009 to February 5, 2010. Retail price begins at $2,099.

Remedy:

The correction will consist of replacing the handlebar mounted left switch housing.
